IT Systems Health Check
There are three parts to an IT Health Check carried out by Crocodile Systems Ltd; the check itself, site documentation and recommendations. The coverage of these is given in more detail below.
Items Reviewed
- Server and Desktop computer systems
- System specification.
- Evaluation of system for suitability for purpose.
- Configuration check.
- Hard drive checks for errors, fragmentation and adequate space.
- Security checks.
- Anti Virus status.
- Operating system software, configuration and update status.
- Core application software revision, licensing and update status.
- Known existing faults.
- General network cabling and connectivity.
- Peripherals as appropriate.
- Internet connectivity.
- Systems backup and disaster recovery methodology and status.
- Internal and external security.
Site Documentation
A comprehensive set of site documentation will be provided to include network diagrams as well as a summary of hardware and software configurations for each system.
Health Check Report
We will compile a list of recommendations broken down into 3 priority levels covering urgent through to advisory, along with any other observations. These are presented as a summary document and are also included into the site documentation in order that progress, changes and issues can be tracked. It should be noted that some recommendations may need to be addressed before a fixed price support agreement can be entered into.
